The centerpiece of the Probuild workplace is a sculptural seating system that reimagines the lounge as a space of interaction, movement, and rest. Carved from individually fabricated panels, the organic form flows through the room while maintaining practical seating surfaces and clear circulation paths.

Integration of art and function

More than a seating area, the installation doubles as a spatial divider and visual landmark within the open-plan layout.

The fluid shape was achieved through digital modeling and precise fabrication of dozens of uniquely shaped wooden ribs.

Each component was coordinated to slot together with minimal gaps, creating a monolithic appearance from layered segments.

The layout was shaped to encourage informal interaction, with curves that suggest direction and connection without hard edges. The structure’s organic flow contrasts with the rectilinear geometry of the office, offering a moment of softness and calm. WeiLin was responsible for the complete shop drawing process, fabrication of every panel component, and full on-site installation. The result is an expressive yet functional installation that redefines how relaxation can be integrated into corporate interiors.

A continuous wave of laminated timber elements curves through the lounge space, functioning as both seating and sculptural art.

Ergonomic Interaction Zones

The varying heights and backrest angles allow for multiple seating postures, from relaxed conversation to quick touch-downs.

Panelized Precision

Each rib was numbered, cut, and assembled with exact tolerances to maintain fluid geometry while ensuring structural integrity.

Minimalist Color Contrast

Natural wood tones paired with a dark carpet base and pops of blue in accent stools bring balance and warmth to the modern office palette.
